Abstract

La miscellanea Scholia Epigraphica nasce dalla volontà di specialisti di varie discipline di approfondire alcuni particolari aspetti della storia e della società romana. Attraverso sei contributi si affrontano i temi della romanizzazione nella Sardegna centro-orientale (in particolare a Forum Traiani e nel Barigadu), delle committenze e delle officine lapidarie a Turris Libisonis (Porto Torres) e del loro rapporto con l’Urbe, dell’evoluzione politica, sociale, urbanistica della piccola comunità di Uchi Maius (Tunisia Settentrionale) alla luce dei dati archeologici ed epigrafici provenienti dal suo foro, dei complessi rapporti giuridici fra governo centrale e amministrazioni locali in Africa Proconsolare, infine della concezione della Pax a Roma fra Repubblica e Principato e del ruolo svolto dall’imperatore quale pacator orbis “portatore di pace nel mondo”.
