With these 5 works of the years from 1916 to 1924, still unpublished and showing the two editions of Roemerbrief which upset the stagnant theological and philosophical debate of the time, in the end the translation of the famous barthian collection of 1924 “Das Wort Gottes und die Theologie”, is completed. These are the times when Europe has to face tragic years because of the fall of the previous institutional and cultural certainties, while, at the same time, the new system can hardly rise. In this situation Barth threw a huge stone into the theological marsh of the first quarter of our century.
