Note sugli opposita nella lirica trobadorica e italiana

Abstract

Finalità dell’articolo è mettere in luce l’evoluzione dei valori as- segnati al modulo retorico degli opposita, caratteristica peculiare dell’e- nigma antico e mediolatino che si tramanda nella tradizione sino al devinalh occitanico e a innumerevoli esempi nella lirica italiana delle origini. Pecu- liare è in questo senso la tendenza, nella poesia d’amore, alla risemantizza- zione di tale struttura, volta non più ad agevolare lo scioglimento di un vero e proprio quesito, ma ad enfatizzare, se mai, una situazione psicologica, quella dell’amore tormentato. Il confronto diacronico tra i testi selezionati, tra cui figura anche il particolare sonetto 134 dei Rerum vulgarium frag- menta, si rende necessario per sottolineare elementi di continuità e rottura rispetto al complesso genere dell’indovinello, e per porre in discussione quella che a lungo è stata inquadrata come una categoria testuale sotto il ti- tolo generico di devinalh.
