Abstract

Il volume raccoglie dieci saggi, di altrettanti autori, su aspetti trascurati o inediti del surrealismo e della sua eredità lungo tutto il corso del XX secolo: dal lavoro di Leonora Carrington, Dorothea Tanning, Meret Hoppenheim all'amicizia fra Federico Garcia Lorca e Salvador Dalì; dall'attività critica di Juan-Eduardo Cirlot alle contaminazioni fra surrealismo e art brut, alle più tarde partecipazioni di Hugh Weiss e Endre Rozsda; dall'architettura "spontanea" di Robert Tatin alla controversa ricezione del movimento in Italia attraverso i due casi esemplari del gruppo immaginista romano raccoltosi intorno al futurista Vinicio Paladini e dell'attività della rivista torinese "Surfanta".
