First we review the definitions and properties of algebras in ideal determined varieties. Next we define the specturm of an algebra and we prove, if certain conditions hold, that it is a topological psectral space. This enables us to see that there is a commutative ring with identity whose spectrum is homeomorphic to hte one of the algebra in question.
