Phaidra – Dauerhafte Sicherung Ihrer Daten. Phaidra ist ein innovatives gesamtuniversitäres Digital Asset Management System mit Langzeitarchivierungsfunktionen. Wertvolle Daten können damit universitätsweit archiviert, dauerhaft gesichert, systematisch erfasst, mehrsprachig mit Metadaten („Daten über Daten“) versehen und zeitlich unbegrenzt weltweit abrufbar gemacht werden. Neben der langfristigen Verwaltung von Digitalisaten bietet Phaidra als beständiger Datenpool für Verwaltung, Forschung und Lehre die Möglichkeit einer flexiblen Nutzung der Ressourcen und durch persistente Zitierbarkeit das exakte Auffinden und Abrufen von vorbereiteten digitalen Objekten. Der aktive Umgang mit Phaidra – das Speichern und Verlinken von Objekten (Texten, Bildern, Audiofiles, Links, ...) – ist offen für BenutzerInnen mit Mailbox-Account, in der Regel Angestellte der Universität Wien, für Externe, die diese Berechtigung erhalten und für Studierende mit u:net-Account. Das Recherchieren und Ansehen der Inhalte ist ohne einloggen weltweit möglich.
