Abstract

This research aims to identify the different representations that produce students in the seventh grade A Tagaste Agustiniano School , on the process of obtaining natural colors from flowers, fruits and / or vegetables. Representations of student graphic order, written and oral analyzed from three categories : everyday knowledge , school science and scientific; these categories were nominated by the researchers as a result of theoretical analysis and representations made by students during practice. For information analysis an instrument of inquiry into the process of obtaining natural dyes, relying on visual aids, and field diaries was developed. The information was organized and compared with the categories in order to categorize the results identifying the elaborate representation type.
