Abstract

Introducción teórica y metodológica al dossier homónimo. En la misma realizamos un largo estado del arte de nuestro campo de estudio a escala sudamericana, señalando sus desarrollos más recientes y lo que consideramos constituyen falencias y asuntos pendientes que podrían ser superados. Proponemos, a tal efecto, variaciones concretas en la temporalidad y determinación geográfica adoptada en los estudios y revisamos las opciones metodológicas disponibles.
