Abstract

Maurice Blanchot sostiene que la transgresión no transgrede la ley; más bien obliga a la ley a descontrolarse. Esta lógica del exceso supone una precedencia de la transgresión respecto de la prohibición. Es la segunda la que responde a la primera y no aquélla la que vendría a confirmar la soberanía de ésta. Desde una perspectiva estética, entonces, no se trata sólo de registrar cómo el mundo imprime sobre el film sino -también y sobre todo- de lograr que el film desborde sobre el mundo. Que nos ayude a verlo mejor, no porque ahora las cosas resulten más claras sino porque el film les ha devuelto su extrañeza. Para Bataille, la poesía (en el sentido amplio de poiesis) es la expresión más elevada de un estado de pérdida: así entendida, toda creación es un gasto simbólico que se asocia al sacrificio en la medida en que libera de cualquier utilidad al objeto fabricado. Este ensayo reflexiona sobre la dimensión excesiva de algunos cineastas para quienes el arte sería, en sentido estricto, un acto de creación por medio del derroche. O Como lo define Godard, en Histoire(s) du cinéma, citando a Malraux: El arte, es decir, eso que renace de lo que fue quemado.
