La sacralidad de la Tríada

Abstract

S. Moses thoughts about the relationship between the self and transcendence through the grammatical third person (“la notion d’IIléité apparaît sur l’arrière-fond d’un rapport vertical du Moi avec la transcendance”), are found in one of the articles included in the proceedings of the colloquium “Le Tiers”. M.Olivetti pointed out the multiplicity of linguistics, ethics, juridical and religious dimensions of the “third one” issue at the introduction of the colloquium. It is possible to track this argument among the philosophers of Late Antiquity. The divinity’s presentation through a triad is exposed in Damascius’ Treaty on Principles. Damascius summarises the religious traditions of Orphic Theogonies and Chaldean Oracles and speculates about the presence of the three in company with one and two.
