Abstract

"Supervivencia. Arte, micropolítica y posdictadura en Buenos Aires" es un ensayo que indaga en las diferentes formas de supervivencia que se construyeron a través del arte entre los primeros años de la vuelta de la democracia y el inicio del neoliberalismo en Argentina. A través de un despliegue visual de obras de arte, documentos, libros y revistas culturales de la época, el ensayo sostiene que para poder pensar el arte contemporáneo argentino -obtener una imagen más precisa y, a la vez, panorámica de de su matriz productiva en el campo artístico- es necesario observar cómo los artistas produjeron, en en alianza con los activismos y la contracultura, afrontando un escenario social, político y económico hostil atravesado tanto por las crisis económicas y los remanentes represivos de la última dictadura militar (1976-1983) como por el desarrollo del vih-sida. Desde la condición precaria del superviviente, se trazaron los lineamientos artísticos, los saberes y las posiciones subjetivas para pensar y concebir una idea del arte contemporáneo local. La publicación esp/ing integra la Colección Argentina Hoy de la Fundación Foro del Sur, Buenos Aires.
