Escenas de la vida política y social en la Santa Cruz de comienzos del siglo XX a través de la trayectoria de Pedro Mogilnitzky, un dirigente sindical devenido estanciero

Abstract

A partir de analizar varios pasajes de la vida de Pedro Mogilnitzky, un dirigente sindical que vivió a comienzos del siglo XX en Santa Cruz pretendemos examinar algunos aspectos poco explorados de los sucesos conocidos como La Patagonia Rebelde y cómo éstos afectaron a algunas personas durante y luego de estos hechos. Para esto, empleamos una serie de documentos inéditos aportados por sus descendientes, puestos en diálogo con diversas fuentes disponibles (periódicos, libros, etc.) que, cruzados entre sí, nos permitieron reconstruir las diferentes trayectorias de la vida de Pedro, abarcando momentos y circunstancias diversas, algunas de ellas de gran importancia para la historia del territorio de Santa Cruz. Así, indagamos a lo largo de su vida en las influencias e itinerarios que realizó junto con otras personas en diferentes ámbitos políticos, laborales y familiares. De esta forma, a partir del análisis desde el punto de vista de un actor que vivió a comienzos del siglo XX, podemos interiorizarnos en los avatares de aquellos que habitaron este territorio austral, quienes estaban sujetos a las arbitrariedades de los poderes de la época, pero también, al azar y las circunstancias.
