Abstract

El horizonte histórico que se abre en Argentina, hacia fines de los sesenta, es el escenario del último tramo del itinerario intelectual de Rodolfo Walsh. Una época caracterizada por la inestabilidad institucional provocada por los reiterados golpes de Estado y la represión hacia los sectores populares, así como por la politización de importantes sectores de la sociedad y la revuelta política y social. En el ámbito de la cultura condensan experiencias de un campo intelectual latinoamericano y argentino radicalizado, en el que la importancia política concedida al intelectual, al artista y a sus producciones específicas estuvo acompañada de una interrogación permanente por su legitimidad social y por la intensa voluntad de crear un arte político y revolucionario. En el marco de este proceso, muchos intelectuales estuvieron dispuestos a la participación activa en la vida revolucionaria. Es, precisamente, en ese tiempo denso que es posible evidenciar una rearticulación de la relación entre política y escritura en la producción de Walsh. Las modulaciones que presentan sus decisiones estético-políticas y su reivindicación de los géneros testimoniales como la categoría artística más adecuada para dar cuenta de la realidad histórica y de la lucha popular muestran una redefinición de su proyecto escritural operado como una tentativa, siempre tensada, de transitar la escritura como una práctica militante.
