Abstract

Una vez superadas las inestabilidades de los primerosaños de reinado, Jacobo Estuardo de Escocia (1566-1625),se inscribió en una de las tendencias intelectuales más importantes de la filosofía política del Renacimiento: pensar yteorizar sobre el ejercicio del poder y la soberanía política.Este período de reflexión teórica e intelectual arrojó comoresultados tres tratados publicados en años consecutivos,que aunque a primera vista puedan parecer inconexos entresí, se encuentran indisolublemente ligados por un hilo conductor común.
