LA LENGUA EN EL AULA DE LENGUA

Abstract

This paper analyzes the under-valorization of colloquial / youth speaks from two different dimensions: social, political and ideological dimension and didactic dimension. First, we work the linguistic representations and prejudices postulates from hegemonic voice that historically said who “speaks well” and who “speaks ill”. This distinction arises from comparing the standard variety of Spanish with non-hegemonic varieties (in this case, the youth speaks). Second, we work this under-valorization in “language class”. We focus on the fact that the data collected from this variety are presented as examples of conceptual categories or specific content that does not enable other / new levels of reflection.
