Aceptabilidad y amplificación del riesgo en la estepa norpatagónica

Abstract

Se analizan la aceptabilidad y la amplificación del riesgo en una zona árida de la Patagonia. Allí factores sociales como la pobreza, la tenencia precaria de la tierra y la falta de autodeterminación de la población originaria, así como factores ambientales tales como sequías y actividad volcánica convergen en eventos catastróficos que profundizan la vulnerabilidad sociocultural. Ésta deriva a su vez de la disputa histórica por la ocupación de la tierra y el papel del riesgo en las políticas públicas.
