In this work we present, through research results, an experience of articulation between the National University of San Martín and a special education school that houses students with intellectual disabilities that live in contexts of urban poverty. To do this, we recovered stories from a group of students, men and women between 15 and 17 years of age, who participated in the Human and Social Sciences Fair held by the University. From a biographical-narrative perspective we approach the experience lived in this educational space from the voices of the students, which opens up a space of inclusion in itself. We believe that this way of researching and knowing the educational facts makes it possible to enter in very different means to know the multiple worlds that the school shelters. In this sense, we recover stories, writings, photographs and school activities of each one of the students, which account for the diversity of forms and formats of expression of what they feel, think and are affected as they live a transformative experience of these characteristics. The methodological proposal and the analyzed field material allow us to strain the hegemonic ways of being, inhabiting and being in the world, that is to say, to make room for expressing ourselves as we are.
