Contextualismo y rivalidad de lógicas

Abstract

En este capítulo, analizo las dificultades que presenta la tesis pluralista lógica. Intentaré precisar algunos elementos importantes para la discusión entre monistas y pluralistas. Distingo entre sistemas de lógica pura, aplica- das y lecturas filosóficas de una lógica. Muestro que no hay una relación intrínseca entre todos estos factores. Presento el desafío conocido de Quine acerca de la divergencia lógica y sus consecuencias acerca del significado y describo algunas respuestas a esta línea de argumento contra el pluralismo. Finalmente, introduzco el Argumento del Colapso y analizo cómo el pluralismo lógico se ve afectado por el mismo.
