Volver a la dignidad

Abstract

The reflections of the current biopolitical life, and particularly on human life leads to the recognition that human life involves more than mere biology, involves more than just survival, aspires to more than just nudity a move that body can be ignored, erased, disappeared. We can say that what we are trying to recover the ethical-political approach now, many writers who deal with biopolitics, is dignity. In this paper we analyze the place occupied by the base concept of dignity in Kantian ethics is that it still holds our duty and right. Bioethics work before they consider that the concept of dignity is useless, we show that it is impossible to sustain the most basic respect for life, which can not sustain human rights, the concept of human dignity as the foundation.
