Elementos constructivos con PET reciclado

Elementos constructivos con PET reciclado

Abstract

In this research we propose a new fabrication method of construction elements through the recycling of a low cost material: Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) coming from disposed soda bottles. This material would be incorporated to cement mixes, which results in a light concrete that allows the substitution of a technology highly rooted in Latin American with respect to construction: firebricks masonry. It is an ecological alternative since the elaboration of construction elements is not pollutant and at the same time it reduces pollution in big cities through the recycling of waste material.
