El mayor grado decomplejidad lo ha alcanzado el cerebro humano, probablementepor la gran cantidad de conexiones sinápticas que se establecenentre sus neuronas. La distinción entre sistema nervioso central yperiférico es anatómica, ya que todas las funciones requieren dela participación de ambos sistemas.
