Abstract

From the suspension of face-to-face classes in Argentina due to the spread of COVID-19, plans of distance pedagogical continuity were promoted at the national and subnational level, which has implied a bet on a kind of “forced virtualization”. This article aims to analyze the trajectories of virtualization policies for the secondary level, focusing on two dimensions: the platforms and the interrelationships of the jurisdictional proposals with that elaborated at the national level and the relationships that each proposal establishes with three educational actors: families, teachers and students. Considering these questions, this work defines the notion of trajectories of educational virtualization policies and asks what modifications and continuities exist in the proposals in the course of 2020. We found different groups of jurisdictions: some strengthened their proposals while others they established a certain continuity with the approach of the first months, being captured and paralyzed by the initial shock. Likewise, the concerns present in the documents analyzed show a shift from content focused on teaching and learning processes towards new topics linked to re-linking, evaluation, presenciality and connection between the 2020-2021 cycles. An exploratory study was carried out from the survey of the platforms, web pages of state organisms and documents (national and of the 24 jurisdictions) in two two-month periods of 2020: April-May and November-December.
