Abstract

Aunque Antonio Di Benedetto ocupa hoy el lugar indiscutible de uno de los mayores narradores argentinos, su obra resulta en cierto modo ilegible en la medida en que sigue siendo reacia a categorías fáciles y a sistemas tranquilizadores. Uno de los aciertos de este libro de Rafael Arce es proponer acercarse al "problema" Di Benedetto desde una desconfianza por las interpretaciones ordenadoras, y recurriendo, no a referencias tradicionales de teoría literaria, sino más bien a grandes nombres del pensamiento occidental (Blanchot, Nietzsche, Heidegger, Bataille, Derrida). El punto de partida y el punto en común de estos estudios sobre seis libros del escritor (los cuatro primeros y los dos últimos) pasan por una puesta de relieve, de una manera u otra, de la otredad radical a la que aspiran los relatos del mendocino (sea en la percepción de lo sagrado, en los proliferantes sentidos de la experiencia de lo imaginario, en las percepciones de la frontera de lo humano con la animalidad). Al mismo tiempo, los ensayos no se limitan a señalar una negatividad o un vacío de sentido, sino que intentan delinear, desde la inestabilidad, aquello que los textos de Di Benedetto afirman y postulan.Gracias a estas premisas, Arce nos propone volver a leer Di Benedetto o, si se quiere, leerlo para lograr pensar con él.
