Los conjuntos faunísticos: Subsistencia y Tafonomía

Abstract

En este capítulo se presentan los objetivos iniciales que guiaron las investigaciones sobre la explotación de recursos faunísticos y el modelo preliminar de subsistencia formulado para el área. Se mencionan los nuevos interrogantes que surgieron a partir de los resultados obtenidos en la primera etapa de análisis, así como las nuevas temáticas y líneas de evidencia abordadas. Se describen las características de los conjuntos zooarqueológicos analizados, las medidas de cuantificación utilizadas, los criterios considerados para evaluar la explotación en los conjuntos de fauna mayor y menor y los efectos tafonómicos estudiados. Como parte de los resultados, se presentan las principales tendencias de las historias tafonómicas de los conjuntos y de la explotación de recursos faunísticos en los dos momentos del Holoceno tardío. Finalmente, se discuten las implicancias de los resultados alcanzados, se integra esta información con la procedente de otras líneas de evidencia y se presenta una versión actualizada del modelo de subsistencia propuesto para el área.
