Abstract

Cuando se aborda el nacimiento y la estructura de la inteligencia en el desarrollo del niño, unos de los principales exponentes en relación a este tema, es Jean Piaget. Piaget nació en Ginebra en 1896, tuvo formación en múltiples campos disciplinares, entre los cuales podemos mencionar biología, psicología, genética, entre otros. Mientras realizaba sus estudios universitarios en París conoce a Alfred Binet, quien en ese momento trabajaba en la aplicación de test de inteligencia en jóvenes y niños. A Piaget le llamará la atención que numerosos niños cometían los mismos errores cuando debían responder determinadas preguntas, más que las respuestas correctas dadas por los mismos. Comienza entonces a llevar a cabo sus propios estudios en relación a la construcción del lenguaje en los niños, el razonamiento casual, las “teorías” sobre los fenómenos cotidianos, la conformación de la moral etc., utilizando para ello diferentes métodos de investigación, desde la observación hasta las entrevistas clínicas.
