Abstract

A veces, cuando conversamos con alguien y escuchamos cómo se expresa con precisión, pensamos: ¿cómo habrá hecho para dominar tan bien el lenguaje, el diccionario de esa lengua y saber qué palabras usar? ¿Cómo hizo para conocer esas palabras difíciles? ¿Cómo hace para ser tan inteligente? ¿Quien domina el vocabulario no solo sabe muchas palabras?. Quien domina el vocabulario no solamente sabe ?muchas palabras difíciles? Aprender no es solo tener muchas palabras en la memoria. No hay palabras que sean fáciles y otras difíciles. No necesariamente quien sabe más palabras es más inteligente. Pero, ¿si los conceptos de sentido común no son como creemos? ¿entonces? El proceso de desarrollo léxico es arduo, complejo y requiere atención específica desde la niñez. Por eso, resulta más que importante proveerle las herramientas al niño y tener la paciencia necesaria para acompañarlo. Existe mucha investigación al respecto. Y aunque no todo está resuelto, es posible aportar algunas ideas. Presentamos un breve recorrido acerca de cómo se desarrollan el léxico y el lenguaje en el niño, qué pasa en el jardín, cómo impacta la lectura, qué actividades acompañan mejor estos procesos y cómo se inserta la propuesta de taller literario en este marco.
