Terapia narrativa de reautoria

Abstract

Este capítulo apresenta os pressupostos teóricos e as aplicações clínicas da terapia narrativa da re-autoria. Teoricamente, a terapia narrativa da re-autoria é um modelo influenciado por autores de diversas áreas, como a análise literária, a antropologia ou a epistemologia. Os pressupostos deste modelo organizam-se em torno do conceito de narrativa, enfatizando como as histórias que contamos sobre nós e o mundo se podem tornar limitadoras e pouco adaptativas e como a psicoterapia pode ajudar os clientes a identificar as fontes de poder dessa narrativa problemática e a construir narrativas alternativas mais satisfatórias. Clinicamente, a terapia narrativa da re-autoria propõe-se devolver ao cliente o papel de autor, e não de mero ator ou de espectador, da sua narrativa de vida. Neste modelo, o processo de psicoterapia compreende três fases: a desconstrução, a reconstrução e a consolidação. Através de diferentes estratégias terapêuticas, como a externalização ou a identificação e expansão de resultados únicos, o cliente e o terapeuta perscrutam as pressuposições da narrativa problemática que trouxe o cliente à terapia, contribuindo para a emergência e enraizamento de uma narrativa alternativa e preferencial na esfera da experiência do cliente
