Multiple load combination analysis

Abstract

The paper reports the formulae for combining structural loads that are used by the Comité Eurointernational du Béton (CEB) and the Eurocode n.9 Wen's and Hasofer's for finding the extremes of a load combination are recalled. Then, the results that are obtained by means of these methods for some load combinations are compared with the results of CEB's and Eurocode's formulae: sometimes these are not conservative.
