Abstract

Il saggio storico di Lucio Franchini costituisce uno strumento sia per la conoscenza dei beni architettonici e del tessuto urbanistico della città, sia per la valorizzazione dell’Archivio storico comunale nonché del patrimonio della Biblioteca civica. Il lavoro pone l’attenzione su un prestigioso “luogo” di Rovereto: tassello esemplificativo della storia complessiva della città negli ultimi tre secoli; apre una prospettiva di studio su aspetti poco noti che interessano anche la storia sociale: aspetti minori, aspetti della quotidianità che si relazionano costantemente con avvenimenti fondamentali della città. Ne deriva la possibilità di una lettura inedita, talvolta controcorrente, che ci invita a cogliere con rinnovata attenzione ciò che solitamente sfugge per fretta o indifferenza ma che scorre quotidianamente sotto i nostri occhi.
