Å skape mening med leksikalske tegn og avbildende tegn

Abstract

Denne litteraturgjennomgangen søker å gi svar på problemstillingen: Hvordan skape mening gjennom å bruke avbildende og leksikalske tegn? Språk som en ressurs for meningsskaping står sentralt. For å gi svar på problemstillingen skal jeg her gi et innblikk i tegnspråklingvistikken gjennom å knytte tegntypene leksikalske og avbildede tegn opp mot de semiotiske strategiene, og hvordan de gjennom strategiene skaper mening. Jeg sammenlikner også tegntypene og de forskjellige funksjonene opp mot eksempler i talespråket for å vise til likheter i formidlingsmåter, til tross for de forskjellige produksjons- og persepsjonskanalene. En ser at både leksikalske og avbildende tegn har en rekke forskjellige funksjoner som de kan skape mening gjennom. Litteraturgjennomgangen ser også på hvordan disse tegntypene i kombinasjon kan skape en enda mer kompleks mening.
