In this paper I will take a closer look at historyuse in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, focusing on critical thinking and source assessment from a learning perspective. I'll look closer at the different ways Ubisoft Montreal chose to apply historical sources and how they present it ingame, whilst also examining the creative ways they worked around a lack of historical sources. Looking at several articles concerning history and computergames my end goal is to highlight the importance of critical thinking skill when playing a historybased game such as Assassin's Creed: Valhalla.
