Abstract

Ved Universitetet i Oslo, Centre For Advanced Study, påbegynte man i 2009 prosjektet “Ethics in Antiquity: The Quest for the Good Life.” What is a good life? How do we become happy? These are questions of perennial concern to human beings, questions that we today encounter in all sorts of public and private discourse.” (Ethics in Antiquity: The Quest for the Good Life at the Centre for Advanced Study, 2009/2010) På bakgrunn av dette har jeg utformet en problemstilling for denne avhandlingen med følgende ordlyd: Hvor går veien til det gode liv?
