Abstract

The increasing number of news about the damages to natural resources in the Colombian coasts, raised the question about causes of this problem. Many news indicates two causes: the lack of specific regulation for the protection of coastal and marine ecosystems and the climatic change. A documentary work review allowed to refuse this causes as principal. The methodology include a documentary review that allowed identifying of an important set of regulation for protecting marine and coastal ecosystems, and the participation in the problem of economic activities that use the marine coastal ecosystems.
