W rozdziale przedstawiono archiwalia izb w Gdańsku, Grudziądzu, Bydgoszczy, Poznaniu, Słupsku, Toruniu i Wrocławiu. Opisy akt poprzedzono wstępem na temat XIX-wiecznych pruskich izb handlowych oraz okręgowych izb gospodarczych III Rzeszy. Rozważania rozszerzono o tematykę izb przemysłowo-handlowych funkcjonujących w Niemieckiej Republice Demokratycznej oraz akt Izby Gospodarczej Rzeszy, gdyż są to sprawy mało znane w polskiej literaturze.
