Koherencja a poczucie jakości życia u młodzieży

Abstract

Przyjęte hipotezy zakładające pozytywne związki koherencji z odczuwanym sensem życia, witalnością, poczuciem własnej wartości, relacjami interpersonalnymi, a także z globalnym poczuciem satysfakcji z życia zostały potwierdzone. The prime motivating aim of the current thesis was to investigate if and what relationship exists between sense of coherence and certain aspects of the quality of life in youth. A total of 266 people participated in the current study, of which 250 qualified following analyses. There were 117 females and 133 males. Participants were between 16 to 21 years of age. The following methods were utilized in the current study: Sense of Coherence Questionnaire (SOC-29), Multidimensional Students’ Life Satisfaction Scale (MSLSS), selected inventories measuring psychological quality of life (SVS, MLQ, SWL, GSE). In addition a demographic questionnaire was developed to obtain background information on each participant. The results were analyzed using r-Pearson correlation and t-tests were conducted for possible group effects. The hypotheses that a positive relationship exists between sense of coherence and meaning in life, vitality, self- esteem, interpersonal relations, as well as a global satisfaction with life were supported and confirmed.
