Las relaciones inter-organizacionales para la generación de oportunidades de innovación: el caso de una empresa biotecnológica

Abstract

La innovación es una actividad que permite el crecimiento de una empresa, mejorando su competitividad y aumentando su participación en el mercado. Para llevarla a cabo se requiere, no sólo del aprovechamiento de los recursos con los que dispone la empresa, sino también de recursos que se encuentran en su entorno, dentro de distintas organizaciones, con las cuales es necesario establecer vínculos, de tal forma que le permitan el acceso a dichos recursos y, al mismo tiempo, le ayuden a la creación y/o fortalecimiento de sus capacidades dinámicas. El estudio de estos vínculos inter organizacionales en empresas intensivas en conocimiento como la biotecnología, muestra la importancia de una buena estrategia corporativa de largo plazo, que permita hacer frente a las condiciones medioambientales, conformadas, principalmente, por la región y el sector al que pertenece la empresa.

Innovation is an activity that enables the growth of an enterprise, improving its competitiveness and increasing its market share. To be carried out it requires not only the exploitation of the resources available to the company, but also the resources in its environment, within different organizations, with whom it is necessary to establish links, so they allow to access this resources and, at the same time help to create and strengthening of its dynamic capabilities. The study of these inter-organizational linkages in knowledge-intensive companies such as biotechnology shows the importance of good long-term corporate strategy, which allows facing the environmental conditions, formed mainly by the region and the sector to which the company belongs.
