Apego, adopción y escolaridad

Abstract

La adopción implica una discontinuidad en las figuras de cuidado que afecta directamente al desarrollo emocional de los niños que pasan por esta experiencia. La escuela, es uno de los principales espacios donde los niños adoptados tienen la oportunidad de construir nuevas relaciones que contribuyan a reforzar su seguridad emocional. Muchos niños adoptados han pasado experiencias tempranas de adversidad, marcadas por el abandono y el maltrato, que afectan de forma muy negativa al desarrollo emocional infantil. Se pretende dar a los profesores las claves para entender el desarrollo emocional de estos niños, de manera que puedan ofrecer modelos de relación positivos que ayuden a los menores adoptados a reorganizar su mundo emocional.
