Abstract

Se destaca la importancia de la lectura y la escritura como adquisiciones imprescindibles para los aprendizajes posteriores en la enseñanza. La primera fase sobre aprender a leer y escribir, debe convertirse en leer y escribir para aprender. El retraso lector es el paso previo al fracaso escolar. La lectura y la escritura aunque estén relacionadas, deberán tratarse independientemente, ya que son actividades condicionadas por mecanismos mentales diferentes. Se destacan también los diferentes métodos de enseñanza para aprender a leer y escribir y se da mucha importancia animación a la lectura.
