Psicomotricidad e intervención educativa

Abstract

Se presenta una visión general de la disciplina Psicomotricidad e Intervención Educativa. Se exponen las bases sobre el devenir histórico de la psicomotricidad, las diversas concepciones, su fundamentación teórica, las definiciones aportadas por distintos autores, los objetivos, las características generales del desarrollo psicomotor y sus componentes básicos (coordinación, equilibrio, lateralidad y estructuración espacio-temporal). Se analizan los trastornos psicomotores más frecuentes y las dificultades que éstos conllevan en relación con los aprendizajes escolares. Se explican las escalas de observación que permiten obtener información objetiva sobre el desarrollo psicomotor alcanzado por los niños en educación infantil y primaria, de forma que se adecue la programación didáctica al nivel real de desarrollo madurativo. Finalmente, se exponen unas reflexiones metodológicas generales necesarias para la elaboración de una propuesta de trabajo psicomotor que potencie el desarrollo socioafectivo, y se incluye un ejemplo práctico.
