Razonamiento social sobre conductas escolares

Abstract

Detectar a qué tipos de categorías o áreas conceptuales recurren los alumnos de entre 10 y 16 años al enjuiciar acontecimientos sociales escolares. Indagar en qué medida se producen casos de combinaciones o mezclas de categorías conceptuales y qué modalidades de coordinación tienen lugar. 96 alumnos entre 10-16 años, divididos en tres grupos de edad de 32 sujetos cada uno correspondientes a tres niveles educativos, quinto de EGB, octavo de EGB y primero de BUP, de Vitoria. Variables independientes: edad, curso académico, ambiente socio-educativo. Variable dependiente: razonamiento social. Entrevista acompañada de viñetas o cómics. Análisis cualitativo. Prueba de Chi cuadrado. Frecuencias. La mitad de las argumentaciones utilizadas en el razonamiento social no son ni de índole moral ni de índole social. Han aflorado planteamientos de corte prudencial en un 27, y en un 12 argumentos de evitación-autoridad y personales. Coincidencia mayoritaria en la conceptualización moral de asuntos que afectan al bienestar de los demás. Mayor dispersión en coincidir en una única categoría conceptual para cada suceso en los alumnos más jóvenes, de quinto curso. El conocimiento social no se organiza y estructura en un único sistema conceptual. Una parte muy importante de las situaciones e interacciones sociales tiene que ver con el bienestar y/o derechos de los demás y con la comprensión de la organización social por lo que las categorías morales y societales son formas fundamentales de organización del conocimiento social.
