Adaptación española de una Escala de Apoyo Social percibido para deportistas

Abstract

El apoyo social es una de las variables que ejerce una mayor influencia en el ámbito deportivo. Esta variable no afecta únicamente al rendimiento del deportista, sino que ha demostrado su relación con trastornos como el Síndrome de Burnout. El objetivo del trabajo ha sido adaptar al castellano una Escala de Apoyo Social específica del contexto deportivo. El grupo normativo sobre el que se aplicó la versión final de la adaptación constaba de 397 deportistas federados con edades entre 13 y 64 años (media= 19,23 y D.T.= 6,67). La escala muestra una adecuada validez factorial y de constructo, con índices de ajuste aceptables (Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin= 0,785; Raíz del Promedio de los Residuales Estandarizados (RMSR)= 0,078; Criterio Kelly= 0,075), así como correlaciones negativas con las dimensiones del Burnout y nulas respecto a la autoestima. Además, cuenta con una fiabilidad elevada (α= 0,88). Por otra parte, se han encontrado diferencias estadísticamente significativas en función del sexo, siendo las mujeres quienes perciben un mayor apoyo social. Por el contrario, son los deportistas de equipo e internacionales quienes tienden a percibir un menor apoyo social. Además, se comprobó si existía funcionamiento diferencial de los ítems por sexo, no existiendo funcionamiento diferencial en ninguno de los ítems evaluados.
