Se muestra una investigación que estudia la relación entre habilidades lingüísticas y comprensión lectora. La muestra se realiza entre 166 alumnos de quinto curso de Educación Primaria y segundo curso de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria. El estudio se centra en colegios, con diferente nivel socioeconómico, situados en las ciudades de Granada y Málaga. Según la metodología de tipo correlacional empleada, se detecta que las habilidades lingüísticas, en el plano fonológico, léxico, morfológico y sintáctico se relacionan con la comprensión del texto. La habilidad lingüística referida a la sintaxis es la más destacada y la que mejor predice el éxito en la tarea.
