Los cromosomas de "Sciurus vulgaris segurae". Miller, 1909

Abstract

Se exponen los primeros resultados obtenidos en el análisis cariológico de la subespecie "Sciurus vulgaris segurae" de la provincia de Albacete (Espana). Los individuos analizados presentan un numero diploide 2n = 40, NF a = 76. El cromosoma X de estos individuos presenta morfología común a la observada en tres especies de ardillas norteamericanas y en el genero Citellus de Centroeuropa. El cromosoma Y, submetacéntrico, también coincide con la morfología presentada por los individuos de las poblaciones europeas anteriormente citadas.
