La traducción entre diferentes formas de representación es un aspecto esencial en la enseñanza y en el aprendizaje de las funciones, ya que permite que el alumno capture el comportamiento de una función desde diversos ángulos enriqueciendo su comprensión. Se expone el concepto de representación en matemáticas, su evolución histórica referida al concepto de función, la traducción entre diferentes representaciones y se proponen actividades didácticas para el trabajo en el aula.
