¿Cómo se transmiten los estereotipos culturales y sexistas a través de las imágenes de las TIC en los libros de texto?

Abstract

A pesar de las diferentes acciones que se están llevando a cabo en materia de igualdad, todavía siguen estando vigentes estereotipos asociados al género y a distintos grupos sociales. En los libros de texto escolares se encuentran alusiones al papel que desempeñan las mujeres, los varones y los grupos sociales y que serán asimiladas por las personas que construirán la sociedad del mañana. Se analiza el mensaje que transmiten las imágenes de los libros de texto de la asignatura Educación para la Ciudadanía, de Educación Primaria y Educación Secundaria Obligatoria, relacionadas con la Diversidad y la Educación Intercultural y con las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación. Se observa que aún se transmiten estereotipos de género y de minorías étnicas en las imágenes.
