¿Cómo acceden los alumnos sordos al lenguaje escrito?

Abstract

Se analiza, en primer lugar, cómo se está abordando en España la enseñanza del lenguaje escrito a los alumnos sordos desde dos modelos educativos: los modelos monolingues, que utilizan en la educación de estos alumnos la lengua mayoritaria de la comunidad oyente; y los modelos bilingües en los cuales se emplea la lengua de signos junto a esa lengua mayoritaria. Y, en segundo lugar, se analiza cómo se produce el acceso al lenguaje escrito de los niños sordos en función de esos dos modelos educativos.
