Desarrollo de la inteligencia emocional en infantil

Abstract

Una auténtica formación requiere un desarrollo intelectual, pero también un desarrollo emocional, afectivo y social. Conscientes de la importancia que tienen las competencias emocionales para el bienestar personal y social de los niños, y para su capacidad de adaptación en la sociedad, se considera necesario que la educación actual asuma, de forma efectiva, esa parte de la formación integral de los alumnos. Es por ello que este trabajo aborda el tema de la educación emocional en la etapa de Infantil, con el fin de estudiar y responder cómo, por qué y para qué se debe fomentar el desarrollo de la inteligencia emocional de los niños en las edades más tempranas. Para la realización de dicho propósito, se analizan los conceptos de Inteligencia Emocional y Educación Emocional en base a la información disponible de los autores más destacados en la materia. Así mismo, se incluye la elaboración y evaluación de una propuesta de intervención educativa para el alumnado del tercer curso de Educación Infantil, dirigida al desarrollo de las habilidades emocionales y sociales de los niños.
