Estilos Parentais e Stresse Infantil

Abstract

Considerando os pais e o ambiente familiar como desempenhando um papel fundamental nas diversas áreas do desenvolvimento da criança, é pertinente aprofundar os factores que poderão afectar o estilo parental maioritariamente adoptado e comportamentos parentais na interacção com os filhos. Entre os factores contextuais o stresse emerge como uma factor disruptivo importante para os pais e estilos parentais adoptados, para a criança e para a vida familiar. Os estilos parentais e os comportamentos parentais actuam como moderadores diminuindo e favorecendo a resiliência, ou acentuando os efeitos da ameaça na criança, ao mesmo tempo que podem constituir o agente de stresse, acentuando a vulnerabilidade familiar e da própria criança. Esta poderá igualmente estar mais ou menos permeável à vivência de stresse, porém não se compreende na totalidade os recursos que utiliza na sua gestão, se serão ou não os mesmos que os do adulto. Numa revisão de literatura, pretendemos analisar a complexidade destas relações, esperando contribuir para a reflexão crítica e realização de futuros estudos.
