Abstract

Pregar a pintura escenifica una realidad de la pintura contemporánea cada vez más presente: la del pliegue. En las piezas que forman parte de esta exposición la doblez es un elemento pictórico, compositivo, configurador y conceptual. Pretendemos dibujar un retrato actual de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de Pontevedra con estudiantes, doctorandas y recién graduadas pertenecientes a una generación marcada por lo digital que, a su vez, crean un arte prófugo de lo pulido de las pantallas, fugitiva del plano de lo virtual y antagónica al raso de imágenes como las del cine o la fotografía. Al plegar la pintura, esta se convierte en lo que siempre ha sido: blanda, mutante y flexible, cualidades de las que fue privada durante la historia del arte por rígidos bastidores y duras estructuras. Gracias al pliegue, el cuadro deja de ser una superficie bidimensional que simula una representación plana del mundo
