TDAH y procesos cognitivos PASS

Abstract

Objetivos: El presente trabajo tiene como objetivos mostrar un perfil cognitivo PASS de las personas diagnosticadas con TDAH, así como también mostrar la existencia de perfiles cognitivos PASS diferenciales en función de los diferentes subtipos de TDAH. Método: Mediante un muestro de no probabilístico de tipo intencional, se han seleccionado 31 participantes, con edades comprendidas entre los 5 y 17 años de edad, diagnosticados con TDAH en alguna de sus tipologías por la unidad de atención primar ia de pediatría o a través de la Unidad de Psiquiatría de la Comunidad Autónoma. Como instrumento de medida de las variables cognitivas se utilizó la batería Cognitive Assessment System (CAS; Nagleri y Das, 1997), en su versión española (Deaño, 2005). Resultados: Mediante el análisis de varianza (ANOVA) se han podido establecer diferencias significativas entre las puntuaciones medias de una o de varias Escalas de los procesos de Planificación, Atención, Simultáneo y Sucesivo para cada uno de los subtipos diagnosticados. Discusión de los resultados: Estos resultados son discutidos caracterizando cognitivamente a los diversos subtipos TDAH en términos de los procesos PASS. Implicaciones de estos resultados son incluidos también.
